Anita Makwana is the Founder and Creative Director of Discover Dance UK. She is a London based professional choreographer, performer and dance Instructor aiming to inspire and empower people through dance.
Anita has choreographed and performed for an array of platforms to include TV (Big Brother, the Olympic Games and Paralympics 2012, Channel 4 shows and more),Concerts (at Wembley Arena, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, to name a few), Exhibitions, Theatre, Music Videos with renowned celebrities like Wyclef Jean and working with Bollywood Stars, such as Malika Sherawat and Adnan Sami and celebs such as Sadie Frost, Award Ceremonies and more.
She is able to source professional dancers from all genres and is highly experienced in creative movement, direction and choreography. Inspired by a variety of dance forms from a young age, to create the versatile choreographer and dancer she is today, her passion for dance and diverse dancing background have enabled her to create an individual style, which are both intriguing and unique to all types of audiences. Anita is professionally trained in a variety of dance styles, to include Commercial/Jazz, Bellydance, Latin (Salsa – Cuban, on 1 & on 2, Dominican and modern Bachata, Reggaeton, Samba, Zumba) Bollywood and Street/Hip Hop. Anita also has an Exercise to Music Level 2 qualification.
